Project Essentials
The project is divided into four phases, each with a different focus. Throughout the project there are some elements which are included in each stage. These are weekly planning meetings, an online digital platform and the end of phase tutorial meeting.
Weekly Planning Meeting
Thursday is PBL day. Attendance at the first lesson of the day is mandatory. In this session your teacher will provide input and information on the project and this is a chance for you to ask any questions you may have. During this lesson you will hold your weekly team planning meeting. In this meeting you will set your goals for the coming week. You will also review the plan from the previous week to see if and how your goals were met. Your teacher may want to see your plan. |
Online Digital Platform
One requirement of the project is that each team creates an online platform to store, share and display their ongoing work. As you complete a new stage of the project you should upload this to the site. The site must be accessible to all team members and your teacher whenever they have internet access. |
Reflection and The End of Phase Team Tutorial Meeting
Reflection The ability to self-reflect on learning is an essential ability of a lifelong learner and will be invaluable in your future academic and business lives. At the end of each phase we ask you to reflect individually on the skills, knowledge and attitudes you have developed during the phase. We also ask you to reflect on how the phase has developed your English language skills and use. Your teacher will give you more information on how to record your individual reflections. |
