Planning and Delivering Presentation To Route Four
Drafting and Note-Writing
Use your outline notes to create a plan for your presentation. Decide who will deliver each part of the presentation. Write notes – not full sentences for your notes. Practicing and Peer Feedback To do any activity well we need to practice. Not only does this familiarise us with the material and help us decide how to best deliver it but also it helps build up confidence before the main presentation. Peer feedback is a great way to practice and improve your performance. Ask a member of your team, or another friend, to be your audience as you practice – ask them to give you useful, constructive feedback. Make sure you practice the whole presentation together using your poster. |
Rehearsal & Delivery
After practicing your presentation with your team now is chance for further practice in real-life situation with your first audience. To make it less stressful for you this will be to a team of SL learners and your teacher. Remember they will want to see a good presentation and get ideas to help them as they study so you should take this seriously – imagine it is the presentation at the SL conference. As you present and watch your teammates present consider what you think goes well and parts you can alter or change. You will also video the presentation to watch to help you update the presentation. For this presentation you can project a copy of your poster using the data projector as you may change the design following your observations and your teacher’s feedback. After you have delivered your presentation review the presentation (delivery & poster) identify the parts you think went well and those you will change. Use your observations whilst delivering the presentation (audience reaction, your feelings..etc.), observations from the video and your teacher’s feedback to help you |
